3D-FORMAT is a team of professional engineers with deep expertise, applying a systematic and comprehensive approach to additive manufacturing.
Services
  • Design and Reverse Engineering
Data processing: Analysis of source data after 3D scanning and computed tomography (CT).
Solid modelling (CAD): Precise conversion of polygonal meshes (STL/voxels) into editable surface and solid formats.
Geometry refinement: Adaptation of models following topological optimisation.
Engineering documentation release: Creation of assemblies, parts, and drafting in strict compliance with ESKD standards.
  • Engineering Analysis, Structural Optimisation, and Metamaterials
Engineering analysis (CAE): Solving mechanics, structural strength, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics problems using modern, validated software.
Structural optimisation: Calculating the ideal shape and topology of components to achieve maximum performance at minimum weight.
Metamaterials development: Designing internal lattice structures to create ultra-lightweight casings, efficient heat exchangers, filters, shock-absorbing elements, and prosthetics.
  • Additive Manufacturing Process Preparation
Manufacturability analysis: Evaluating the geometry and adapting the design for a specific additive manufacturing method (Design for AM / DfAM).
Workpiece design: Calculating and adding machining allowances for subsequent CNC machining.
Process setup: Selecting the ideal part orientation in the build chamber and generating reliable support structures (tree, block, and volumetric).
Documentation release: Generating machine code for 3D printers, developing manufacturing process plans, drawings, and sketches.
  • Additive Manufacturing Process Simulation and Distortion Compensation
Part orientation optimisation: Automatic selection of the ideal position within the build chamber to minimise supports and accelerate printing.
Support design: Calculating structures that provide maximum rigidity with minimal material consumption.
Defect prediction: Simulating the build process to identify macro- and micro-level risks before starting the machine.
Distortion compensation (pre-distortion): Creating an intentionally distorted 3D model that, after physical thermal shrinkage, will achieve the exact dimensions specified in the drawing.
Reverse compensation: When classical calculation is difficult, 3D Format engineers create compensated geometry based on 3D scanning or CT scanning results of a test sample.
Pricing and Timelines
Every project is unique. The cost depends on the complexity of the model, the number of views/frames, and animation requirements. We can quickly estimate the budget based on your brief and reference materials.

Need a rough estimate? Send a photo or drawing along with the desired views, and we will get back to you the same day.
  • Гарантии результата
    • Strict Adherence to Specifications: Fixed requirements and step-by-step previews.
    • Predictable Budget: Fixed pricing per milestone, with no hidden surprises.
    • Confidentiality: NDA and secure data storage.
    • Service: Fast response times, a dedicated account manager, and strict deadline compliance.
Why large companies work with us
  • Industrial Grade
Precise geometry (STEP/3DM/OBJ/STL/FBX), preparation for 3D printing, CNC machining, and casting; topology tailored to the specific task.
  • Timelines and Project Management
A clear pipeline, milestone previews, and stage-by-stage reporting. NDA upon request (or by default for complex development projects).
  • Manufacturability and Metal Expertise
Our team consists of engineers with hands-on experience in metalworking facilities. We know exactly how metal behaves during welding or casting, and we fully understand tolerance systems. We utilise professional software (SolidWorks, FreeCAD) and perform structural strength calculations, ensuring our models are not just aesthetically pleasing images, but highly manufacturable products ready for production.
  • Legal Transparency and Reliability (B2B)
We are focused on building long-term partnerships with manufacturing companies. We operate officially under contract with both corporate and private clients, and accept bank transfers to our business account. Upon request, we sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to guarantee the security of your developments.
How We Work
From your idea or a broken part to production-ready files for the machine.
Project Analysis and Specifications
We analyse your drawing, sketch, photo, or 3D scan a broken part. We define the tolerance requirements and the intended manufacturing technology. Finally, we calculate the exact cost and timelines.
3D Modelling and Calculations
We create an accurate solid or parametric model using professional CAD software (SolidWorks, FreeCAD). We verify tolerances and prepare the model for 3D printing, CNC machining, or casting. If necessary, we perform structural strength calculations.
Interim Review
We send you previews of the completed model (renders or screenshots) to verify the geometry. We make the necessary adjustments (two iterations are included; subsequent iterations incur an additional fee) until the model fully meets your project requirements.
Documentation Delivery
Upon approval, we provide a complete set of engineering documentation and 3D source files in any format compatible with your equipment (.STEP, .IGES, .DWG, .DXF, .STL).
